On the morning of December 21, 2024, the Department of History of Science invited Associate Professor Jianye Xiao from the Department of History of Science at Harvard University to give a lecture on the history of science at Harvard University. The symposium was chaired by Associate Professor Shen Yubin from the Department of History of Science. Professor Shen introduced the academic, teaching, and literary background of Professor Xiao Jianye, as well as his main research areas: technology, science, and industrial history, and recent research topics: the development of China and Japan in a global context, as well as the history of energy and labor. Currently, Teacher Xiao is writing a monograph on the history of industrial psychology in China.
